Women’s entrepreneurship is increasing globally. They are becoming attractive client segment to financial institutions (FIs). However, access to finance is remaining to be one of the biggest challenges that women in business face.

The goal of this course is to help you to develop/provide gender responsive financial products and services to the target Women MSMEs group, addressing their specific needs (new and existing clients), to successfully grow the market share and loan portfolio.

This course covers three key topics. The first part introduces to the gender concepts, why it is important to financial institutions, the gender parity and gap in the world and situation in specific countries. The second module of the training focuses on barriers of women in business in accessing to finance and how FIs can be gender inclusive. The third part of the course is built to provide practical knowledge and skills in effectively serving women in business and growing FI’s portfolio.

In the end of this course, you will have understanding about gender finance, practical knowledge on analysing the addressable market and your WiB (Women in Business) portfolio, developing non-financial services to address the challenges your target WiB clients face, conducting WiB profiling to effectively serve your clients, and skills to effectively communicate with WiB clients. Also, you will learn about client’s retention, acquisition, and customer satisfaction methods.
